Badger Meter, Inc. is a long time USA Corporation with headquarters in Milwaukee, WI. They have always been and continue to be a strong Flow Meter Company starting out with domestic house water meters and branching into industrial, water & wastewater plants. They have been a leader in open channel flow metering for many years.
In 1969 or 1970 they acquired the Everson Chlorinator Product Line from the Chicago, IL area. They then proceeded to develop their own Chlorinator, discarding that design as incomplete and outdated. After about ten years in the business, Badger Meter, Inc. management realized the Chlorinators were an entirely different product line from Flow Meters and not compatible marketing wise with a Flow Meter oriented company. A decision was made to divest the product line.
Being a representative of Badger Meter, Inc., we were selling their water and wastewater meters along with their Chlorinators as a package. Seeing an opportunity to acquire their Chlorinator Product Line at a reasonable cost and continue to package, MODERN PROCESS SYSTEMS, Inc. was formed and acquired the Badger Meter, Inc. Chlorinator Product Line in late 1982 and moved it to Baton Rouge, LA.
MODERN PROCESS SYSTEMS, Inc. has made improvements and additions to this product line of Gas Chlorinators and Sulfonators. We have continued the world wide sales of the products first established by Badger Meter, Inc. and expanded our US efforts.
