MODERN's system consists of two cylinder mounted vacuum regulators (controllers), a wall mounted gas switchover module, remote mounted rotameter assembly with flow rate adjusting valve and a vacuum producing injector with ball-check and double seated diaphragm. The ball-check and diaphragm provide protection against backflow problems, often the result of an interruption in water supply. Vacuum regulators can be mounted on ton containers with the use of optional ton container mounting brackets (600027A). An automatic shutoff is provided in the event of a vacuum loss.
The automatic switchover module allows gas to flow under vacuum from the regulator in service to the rotameter assembly and injector until that source is depleted. The vacuum sealing valve on the regulator then closes and the vacuum level in the system rises, causing the switching of two sealing valves in the switchover module.
The open valve on the depleted source closes, with the aid of a springloaded toggle, while the valve on the standby source opens to permit gas flow.
MODERN injectors are designed to operate over a wide range of supply and backpressures. The nozzle's unique contour design helps conserve water usage. Other advantages of the T400/AS400 Series include and easy and versatile installation. The injector installs at the point of application or near the controller.
The T400/AS400 Series of automatic switchover systems are the most MODERN gas chlorinators available. Simple, Versatile, Economical and MODERN. Available as T400/AS410 with no meters on the controllers, T410X/AS410 with meter less rate valves on the controllers for gas flow indication or the T400/AS400 for use with cabinet or W710 units. Systems can also use wall mounted controllers (W500 Series) and are available as sulfonators for dechlorination.
A T400/AS410 system consists of a water-operated injector, remote wall mounted rotameter assembly, wall mounted automatic gas switchover module and two vacuum controllers. A relief valve prevents any buildup of chlorine pressure within the system.
