MODERN's improved T-400 Series was the first introduced tank-mounted gas chlorinator that could be equipped with remote automatic pacing, a feature that enables the chlorine gas feed rate to be proportional to flow, direct residual or compound loop control.
Today, these same models are meeting the demanding and exacting standards for water and wastewater treatment.
The model's housings are molded of heavy-duty plastics and reinforced with a thick cross section for maximum strength. Corrosion resistant metals and synthetic rubbers are used for all internal parts. And, since only a minimum of pressure piping is necessary, flexible auxiliary connecting valves and fittings are eliminated. The all-molded construction and fewer parts allow a quick disassembly for visual inspection or routine cleaning. The rotameter assembly is removed simply by loosening two screws. Threaded nozzles screw into the main injector housing with o-ring seals for easy maintenance. An indicator shows when tanks are empty. An automatic shutoff is provided in the event of a vacuum loss.
MODERN injectors are designed to operate over a wide range of supply and backpressures. The nozzle's unique contour design helps conserve water usage. Backflow problems, often the result of an interruption in water supply, are prevented since the injector employs an automatic ball-check and vacuum producing venturi tube. The ball-check has a double seat to assure a tight seal. Other advantages of the T-400 Series include an easy and versatile installation. The injector installs at the point of application or near the controller.
The T-400 Series tank-mounted gas chlorinators are the most up-to-date gas chlorination equipment available. Simple, Versatile, Economical and MODERN. Available as T-410 single, T-420 dual, T-400-X multi-point chlorinators and T400/AS400 Automatic Switchover Series. Also available as T-400-S Series tank mounted sulfonators for dechlorination.
